Sophie Cleave is a fine art painter currently based in London
Sophie specialises in fine art painting, and uses acrylic and oil on canvas to create captivating pieces that aim to explore and challenge societal issues. Sophie’s work is thought-provoking and inspirational. Her unique approach to her art aims to spark conversation about topics that are often unspoken.
Sophie is a graduate of Ipswich School and is currently studying Fine Art at Camberwell UAL. Her artwork has been exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London as part of the RBA Rising Stars Exhibition, where she was awarded The Surgeons Prize for her painting Blurred Reality. This was part of The Royal Society of British Artists 200 year anniversary. Sophie was one of only three students nationally to receive a prize out of 4000 entries, and her artwork was chosen from 200 nominated Rising Star Students across the country.

Camberwell2023 - PresentSophie is currently at Camberwell College of Arts studying BA (Hons) Fine Art Painting. As well as practical skills, she is learning about the history of fine art, the evolution of painting and its influence on the contemporary fine art world.

Camberwell2022 - 2023Whilst studying Foundation at Camberwell College of Arts, Sophie's artwork has been exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London as part of the RBA Rising Stars Exhibition.

Ipswich School2019 - 2021Sophie attended sixth form at the Ipswich School, with A Level results including top grades in Art, Business and Psychology (A*).
